Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Job Description: EPG is looking for a shipping clerk that is looking to work in a manufacturing environment. The Shipping Clerk prepares shipments by performing duties to quality and productivity standards. Use with computers and shipping technology is preferred. The Shipping Clerk will also lead a small team and have to build custom pallets with power tools as needed. This position involves lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds with proper assistance.

Responsibilities
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
- Maintains clean work area and follows all safety precautions & procedures
- Assist other areas when not building shipping crates or packaging materials
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
- Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
- Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods
Job Qualifications
- Experience: handling shipping materials or supplies; operating material handling equipment; accessing information on a computer; reviewing
- documents for accuracy and completeness. Requires some basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Nice to have experience with the operation of power and/or hand tools. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance, stand and walk continuously throughout an 8 hour shift; maintain a safe working environment.
- Experience with shipping logistics and haulers. Using FedEx for shipping and “Echo” experience preferred. LTL systems are a plus.
- This role requires being able to lift 40 to 50lbs and be on your feet all day.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 minimum depending on experience
